So - the long weekend is over. and it was nice. and it was an extra long weekend for me. i took thursday off too and went to my parents.
spent the weekend painting the back entrance and stairwell to the basement and a wall in the basement.
my shoes are now covered with hampshire grey speckles and mint green speckles.
and we made jamjam cookies and cinnamon buns and pie and crumble and ate way too much. my mother is an awesome cook and baker.
but it was really nice to relax like that. haven't been home since Christmas - it seems like every time i'd planned to go, the weather would be against me. and i'm not driving in crappy weather anymore.
Sharon and Dad weren't feeling all the great but did manage to feel better by Monday. so we didn't do the family thing with mom's brothers this time. oh well. next time.
got to see the pix from their Cancun trip. looks neat. someday i'll get there. this year it may be just between Swift, Lethbridge and Edmonton. just like the past few years. maybe a side trip to Waterton while i'm in lethbridge.
now - i'm off to work on some coasters for a coaster swap. 3 done and 9 more to do. when i get them done, i'll post some pix.

MMmm Jam Jams. Those are my favorite cookies. Tell me though, does your recipe have oats in it? My grandmas did and after she passed away I couldnt find one that did ( I dont think it orignally does, she must have altered it) luckily we found her recipe this christmas in an old cookbook we were about to throw away. It even has the recipe in her own handwriting. I'd like your recicpe though. I hope I helped you tonight with how to post photos. Im so looking forward to seeing the stuff you create at home.
