Prima - it's not what you think!!!

So this weekend was National Scrapbooking day on Saturday. and i was fortunate enough to take some classes from Trisha, a Prima instructor. lovely.

this canvas was the first class. Prima paintable paper, a multitude of paint, ink and stuff. and of course, the lovely prima flowers. and RIBBON. very very nice ribbon. of course the whole thing is sprayed with glimmer - but that's really hard to photograph!

Saturday afternoon's class was the Prima "Build a Book" it's a clear acrylic album (with some other pages for fun!) 6x12. as you can tell - my still has a way to go - got to think of some sorta photos to put in all these! but hey - it was playing and learning some new techniques!

Sunday's class was this embossed chipboard layout. it's really hard to tell on the photos but it's all shimmery too. i've got some really cool photos to put in that white lined space - some of my parent's wedding. so that's for them and the photo colors are exactly the same as what i had painted my layout - almost as if it was supposed to be! i had thought about putting my grandparents engagement photo in there - but that'll have to be a different one now!

so Prima has changed over the years from those tiny little flowers in the milk bottles to some really wonderful awesome product. and i feel very inspired by Trisha and the other gals i was scrapping with! oh yeah - the black damask on this - it's flocked. very cool fuzzy. and the damask is by Riff Raff designs - LOVE that chipboard! and cool eh - that they're Canadian!
