Cards

Ok - so here's a few thing's i've been working on...

the redish one was lots of fun. i inked the background. poured on clear embossing powder, flicked it off. heat set. which left lots of holes. re-inked with a couple of colors. then i stamped my image on. if you're doing this - use staz on type ink for the image. i didn't and it's smudging off. then i used crackle paint on the chipboard frame and then chalk inked on top of that. lots of colours and layers of colour. fun.
the thinking of you card is actually about 5x7. quite a bit larger than the scan. it was fun to do to. i followed a sketch from somewhere. sketches are fun - not too much thought required on the part of the design - just pick your paper and go!
I got this idea from Amanda - thank you!
JSI has a diecut that is a 4" square scallop. fold the paper in half, put in the die so that your fold isn't going to be cut and cut away. bing - a really cool scallop edged card.
i was playing with the die machine yesterday and have a few ideas for cards now. i've got to go back today for a few minutes and cut a few more. They got in a few new dies and hmmm... nice!
