canvas

so, i've been told to update my blog. but i don't have a lot to say or show right now. i have been doing something tho....

a whole lotta paint and glimmer mist layers on this canvas - and it's one of those really big ones. i had a lot of fun doing this one. i had originally stamped the live , laugh, love at Anita's place 2 summers ago maybe? anyway. whenever i used a mask for something, i had turned it over and slapped the excess off onto this canvas.

i decided it wasn't pretty so did something about that. i added gesso, and layers and layers of paint and some paper, some maskes and mist. there was a rub on or two on there too, and i wanted them to still show through. then some grunge board and this great quote.

i think it still needs something, but really not sure. i may paint over the words and reletter them but not sure. suggestions?

i've got another canvas that i'm playing with. so far, not too far. just some paint down, i have an idea but it's slow going.

maybe some challenges will get my mojo in gear. The Scrapping Nook has some challenges up that look fairly interesting.

there. i've updated for today. maybe more later this week. we'll see how that goes.
